About Online Sex Ed
People today are appallingly ignorant about sex and their bodies. What passes for sex education in schools is a joke.
Political and religious agendas have hijacked sex education in schools. If what you have been taught is mainly about abstinence, perverts and STD’s, with little attention paid to the physical act of sex and the emotional consequences of having sex, you haven’t been prepared for sex and the real world.
If what little you’ve learned about the physical side of sex comes from internet pornography, you’ve been woefully uneducated. Don’t get me wrong. I have nothing against porn. But learning about sex from the movies is like learning how to drive from video games.
You might be lucky enough not to crash and burn pulling out of your driveway, but you’re going to run into something that doesn’t translate into real life, the minute you leave your block.
After all, in real life:
- there are no “fluffers” around to make sure men maintain an erection
- women don’t particularly like the “big bang” entry
- there is no director, telling you and the person you’re with what to do
- you’re not being interrupted ever minute or so to take still photography shots for magazines
- you don’t have a make-up artist around to powder down the sweat and cover your zits
- you haven’t been hired to perform on the basis of penis size
- you’re not getting daily HIV tests
- you’re not being paid to do things that might hurt you or that you might otherwise find distasteful
So, we’re going to talk about sex. We’re going probe into subjects we think you have questions about. We won’t assume that we have all the answers – so if you have a question about something we’re not covering – go here to ask. All questions are moderated.
Just to let you know, we don’t think there are silly questions about sex education. If you don’t know, you’ve come to the right place to ask. |
