Always Use a Condom AND Birth Control Pills

Latex condoms are only 85% effective with typical use. That means 15 out of every 100 sexual encounters using condoms only, can result in pregnancy.  However, condoms are effective in helping to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases or STDs and should always be used for casual sex or sex with a person where you are unaware or unsure of their sexual history.

In order to beef-up your protection against pregnancy you should also use the pill for birth control.

If she had her period, she isn't pregnant. However, a woman can "spot"
during pregnancy. Invest in a home pregnancy test. But next time, use a condom.
